Dan, Kensington Bank’s leader and principal, embodies the essence of #KensingtonCares through his commitment to building meaningful relationships with customers. With an astute understanding of their personalities and patterns, Dan and his team go above and beyond, asking questions out of genuine concern to add value wherever possible. For him, “Care” is a core “Central Minnesota Value” advanced through every interaction.

In his role at Kensington Bank since 2012, Dan appreciates the organization’s sincere and continuous efforts to make a positive difference in people’s lives. Whether assisting employees, current customers, or future clients, the focus is on creating tangible, positive impacts.

With over two decades of experience in banking, Dan’s journey includes leadership roles at a community bank, a large corporate bank, and ultimately leading Kensington Bank. His diverse background includes managing training and compensation programs during significant growth.

Dan’s commitment extends beyond daily operations, with his involvement in various committees and leadership positions at Kensington Bank, including the Board of Directors, Leadership Committee, Asset Liability Committee, IT Committee, and Recognition Committee.

A firm believer in the value of hard work, Dan resonates with the quote, “I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it,” by Thomas Jefferson.

Community involvement is a cornerstone of Dan’s ethos, as reflected in his roles on the Cokato Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, membership in the Cokato Development Corporation, participation in the Dassel Cokato Athletics Advisory Council, and coaching for Litchfield Dassel Cokato Youth Hockey.
